Alcoholics Anonymous Isn’t Working!

Alcoholics Anonymous Isn’t Working! well not well enough anyway. Unfortunately, very few in the fellowship seem to care. It’s a kind of, I’m all right jack’, type of attitude, and they see it as the program is working for them so the problem of recovery (or lack of it) is down to others non-commitment. You see, for those who get it, well, they wouldn’t change a thing, but those who don’t simply leave often never to be seen again. The AA program fails more than it succeeds, and if you speak to the many who couldn’t grasp it’s message, they will all tell you that the god thing, the religious aspect (although no member refers to it as that), is what made them walk away. Isn’t it therefore time for the AA program to be rewritten in such a way which that it draws more members into its recovery bosom and has a more open though still structured program of healing? The health and wellbeing of desperate alcoholics are craving for it!
