Alcoholics Anonymous Isn’t Working!

July 21, 2008

Alcoholics Anonymous Isn’t Working! well not well enough anyway. Unfortunately, very few in the fellowship seem to care. It’s a kind of, I’m all right jack’, type of attitude, and they see it as the program is working for them so the problem of recovery (or lack of it) is down to others non-commitment. You see, for those who get it, well, they wouldn’t change a thing, but those who don’t simply leave often never to be seen again. The AA program fails more than it succeeds, and if you speak to the many who couldn’t grasp it’s message, they will all tell you that the god thing, the religious aspect (although no member refers to it as that), is what made them walk away. Isn’t it therefore time for the AA program to be rewritten in such a way which that it draws more members into its recovery bosom and has a more open though still structured program of healing? The health and wellbeing of desperate alcoholics are craving for it!

Lower Back Problems and Cures

April 30, 2008

Lower Back Problems and Cures for this painful condition are always on topic. Because there is no one-cure-suits-all fix, the cures keep coming from the natural to the medial, from the bizarre to the outright stupid. But so despairing are those of us who suffer from lower back problems for any length of time, that many are willing to try most things out of sheer desperation. However, it’s important to point out that when it comes to the back, nothing new should be tried without first consulting your doctor. There are plenty of well meaning folks out there trying to help, but if you try to find your own remedies, there’s a chance that you could end up making a bad situation much worse if you’re not careful.
