But a balanced, nutritious diet can help us live a long and most important; healthy life, many people today are literally eating their way toward an early end to the life… not a good thing.
Do you like to go out or eat at home? For me… when I can afford it… I enjoy a nice restaurant. I enjoy the ambiance and love the entries, but many today eat for the wrong reasons. When the hunger pangs strike (growwwllll), most of eat to satisfy hunger, rather that to give our bodies the nutrients it craves to operate at peak performance. And let’s not forget Ben and Jerrys, and how good it feels to drown our sorrows with a pint of Cherry Garcia.
What we need to learn is not to simply feed our face, but to choose healthy foods the supply our bodies with the fuel it needs to power our cells. And our cells and small parts of us that breathe, eat, reproduce and (yes) even pass on. Within this marvelous little unit food is converted to energy and good metabolism is maintained.
Look around you, is anyone else with you? That person and everyone in the world operate in the real world, but also in the microscopic world of the cell, trillions of these cells provide us with the strength and fervor to carry us through an often stressful day.
The main entrée for the cell is glucose; next up the ladder are proteins or amino acids. Yes, fat also, though it’s described as fatty acids. Taken together these micronutrients (vitamins, minerals, enzymes, water and oxygen) all need to be present for the healthy operation of the cell… YOUR CELLS.
Give them what they need.
More raw food
Good vs. bad fat
Less white flour and processed foods.
As much as possible stay away from white sugar.
Soft drinks should be consumed with moderation or not at all.
Water… water… water… it is the single key that unlocks the door to nutrition.
